A two man circus, just add tequila |

|---|---|---|
Take Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Buffett. Toss them in the blender with some cheap tequila.
(I bet she'd like that.) Then give it a few quick shakes. What you'll have is a comedic cocktail called Pete & Wayne. And this concoction is not meant to be sipped slowly. It's meant to burn as it goes down. The duo from Key West bring their sophomoric drivel (that's a compliment) to the Brewery Exchange in Lowell next Thursday. Their act is a little pornographic, but in an eighth grade boys locker room type of way. Their lack of maturity makes their references to the male and female anatomy, bizarre bodily functions, and mishaps in the sack acceptable in mixed company. They are an institution in the southern most tip of the United States, where they have a residency at the famous Sloppy Joe's on Duval Street. Pete & Wayne-iacs make postings on the Internet saying you can't visit Key West without taking in one of their live shows. Their show is like a two-man circus sans those creepy clowns with painted faces. Like Law & Order, the witty twosome perform parodies that are ripped straight from the headlines. When the only suitable song title for print is "There's a Dead Guy on my Windshield," you know you're in for a raunchy time Catch Pete & Wayne at the Brewery Exchange, 201 Cabot St., Lowell next Thursday, Aug. 7. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available by calling (978)937-2690. |
